Youth Development

Bay Brighter Futures is committed to improving the education, training and employment opportunities for young people within the Bay of Plenty region. There is increased interest worldwide in improving outcomes for youth who are disconnected from systems designed to educate and prepare them for their future.

Our goal for this funding priority is: That all Bay of Plenty youth (12-24 years) are involved in education, training or employment.

Below are some guidelines used when assessing funding applications.

Innovative: A successful application demonstrates that the project is new or has innovative approaches to Youth Development.  We are seeking innovative or new approaches to education, training and employment outcomes for young people.

Collaborative: A successful application has clear examples of two or more organisations collaborating together to develop solutions that meet young people’s needs.
